- Mainly operational research - epidemiology, MDR TB, cohort analysis, diagnostic methods etc.
- 2008 April, two Clinical TB drug trials have started
- Genotyping (spoligo, RFLP) of M.tuberculosis strains are performed at LIC Bacteriological Laboratory and MDR / XDR resistance related mutations analyzed in collaboration with Latvian University Biomedicine Study and Research Center.
